Food Bank World Record

World Homeless Day 2023:
On the 16th of October, we joined millions of people worldwide in marking World Homeless Day. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion, understanding, and support for those facing homelessness in our community. At Willow Park School, we believe in teaching our students about social responsibility, and we are proud that our Year 7 students embraced this lesson wholeheartedly.

MK Can – A World Record Attempt:
Our Year 7 group participated in an incredible initiative called ‘MK Can,’ which aimed to set a world record by lining up 7km of cans for the MK Food Bank. Our students, full of enthusiasm and determination, took part in this event, showing their support for a significant cause and demonstrating respect for others in our community. The World Record was officially broken, with 10km, consisting of 102,447 cans were laid out! We couldn’t be prouder of their participation and the positive impact they made. By showing their support and being respectful in the community, they have not only made us proud but have also become compassionate global citizens in the making.
