World Book Day – 6th March 2026

Our annual celebration of World Book Day was no doubt the best yet! Students and staff alike dressed as characters from our favourite books. All genres were represented – from gothic novels to graphic novels and fantastic tales to fairy tales! A huge thank you to all students, parents and carers who took the time to create such amazing costumes.

Reading, communication and language are key within the rich and varied curriculum at Willow Park. We nurture our students’ enjoyment of reading and teach them how reading and language skills are vital for their future pathways.

All students have books in their classrooms, and plenty more to choose from in our ever-expanding library. Many students request books and comics specific to their interests and hobbies, and it is always a joy to see and hear them reading those with enthusiasm. We value reading in all its forms – books, recipes, instructions, websites… the list is endless!
