Home News & Events British Values: Respect and Tolerance
This term, our school will be focusing on the important British Value of tolerance and respect. Students will embark on a journey to deepen their understanding and appreciation of different faiths and cultural practices. As part of this effort, they will have the exciting opportunity to visit various places of worship within our local community, including churches, mosques, temples, and gurdwaras. These visits will provide them with firsthand experience of diverse religious practices and foster an environment of mutual respect and understanding. In addition to this, we are pleased to announce that we will be welcoming a local LGBT+ charity to our school. They will be hosting an assembly specifically for our Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, aiming to educate and promote acceptance and inclusion. This assembly will serve as a platform for open dialogue, helping students to appreciate the importance of respecting each person’s identity and choices. Through these initiatives, we will continue create an inclusive and empathetic school community, where every student feels valued and respected.
